Impossible Things
"I'm just one hundred and one, five months and a day."
"I can't believe that!" said Alice.
"I can't believe that!" said Alice.
"Can't you?" the
Queen said in a pitying tone. "Try again: draw a long breath, and shut
your eyes."
Alice laughed.
"There's no use trying," she said: "one can't believe impossible
things."
"I daresay you haven't
had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always
did it for half-an-hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six
impossible things before breakfast."

Like Alice, God has declared that you are
a Champion who will overcome a great beast. And like Alice, many of us have a
hard time believing that we are a great Champion. We struggle to embrace the
identity that we have been given as a co-heir with Christ and a child of God. We
look at all of our imperfections or inexperience or outward appearance and
declare that we are unqualified to be identified as a winner. But Jesus tells
us in Matthew 19:26, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are
possible.” God has made it possible for each of us to be Champions through
Christ.
So no matter what beast you are facing
today – doubt, worry, fear, addiction, pain, the devil – know that God has
already declared that you are more than a conqueror through Jesus (Romans
8:37). You are a Champion! Declare it out loud and take the head of your enemy as
your trophy (1 Samuel 17:54) for you can do all things through Christ who
strengthens you (Philippians 4:13).
Unstoppable God
